The Dads on Duty Lunch & Recess Program
During each Friday lunchtime shift, CMS registered adults will eat lunch with their student and assist with recess. This program is a great opportunity for our school to develop a presence of male volunteers, like MOBC (Men of Billingsville Cotswold), on campus. BCE looks forward to seeing Dads back on campus and supporting our school through this program.
Important Reminders:
- Volunteers are REQUIRED to sign in before going to the playground or cafeteria.
- Volunteers are NOT PERMITTED to bring outside food to share with students other than their own.
Instructions:
- Ensure you are registered as a CMS volunteer. All CMS volunteers need to register every year to volunteer through CMS Volunteers Website and adhere to state and county safety guidelines.
- Arrive to the campus at your designated sign up time.
- Ring the entry bell and tell them you’re there to volunteer for “Dads on Duty”.
- Sign into Lobby Guard system with a government issued ID. The front office staff will then connect you with the recess or lunch staff (depending on grade) and give you directions on where to go.
- Once you arrive to recess or lunch area, a staff member will give you direction on volunteer needs for that day.
- Have fun!
- Tip: There is a designated student/parent lunch table so you can have some quality time with your student. Some dads or special guests choose to bring lunch for their students.
